Elwave develops cutting-edge electromagnetic detection systems for underwater robotics using advanced signal processing and algorithmic solutions.

The Role

We are seeking an Algorithm Manager - Signal Processing to lead our algorithm and signal processing team. This is a CODIR (Executive Committee) member position reporting directly to the President.

What You'll Do

Technical Leadership:

• Define, develop, verify and validate algorithms and signal processing for Elwave products

• Develop solutions for target localization, multi-target tracking, automatic object tracking (cables, pipelines)

• Work with sensor fusion from multiple colocated and non-colocated sensors

• Prepare algorithmic solutions for software team implementation (real-time and post-processing)

• Manage projects with subcontractors and clients

Team Management:

• Lead a team of engineers and PhDs in signal processing and algorithms (currently 4 people)

• Conduct technical watch and scientific intelligence

• Participate in HR policy (recruitment, resource needs)

Development:

• Personally develop algorithmic and signal processing solutions (50% of time)

• Participate directly in sea trials for development, testing and validation

• Languages: Python, Matlab, C++

Requirements

• Required: PhD or Engineering degree from a leading school in sensors/signal processing/applied algorithms

• 10+ years of professional experience

• Proven experience developing, validating, and implementing algorithms in complex operational products

• Experience leading algorithmic teams in industrial environment within multidisciplinary programs

• Strategic vision and strong leadership

• Professional English proficiency (required) - 80% export market

Nice to Have

• Experience with target tracking and localization (mono and multi-target)

• Underwater acoustic sensors (hydrophone, sonar)

• Radar
