About DefenceJobs.org

An independent map of Europe’s defence-technology industry — the companies being built, the people building them, and the jobs they are hiring for.

What we do

DefenceJobs.org tracks more than 1000 European defence-technology companies across 30+ countries, from one-year-old startups to listed primes, and surfaces the open roles they are actively hiring for. Job seekers can filter by country, sector, role type and seniority. Employers and recruiters use the atlas to map competitors, hiring patterns and the broader ecosystem.

Why this exists

Europe’s defence sector is in the middle of the largest capital and capability build-up since the cold war. Hundreds of new companies have been founded since 2022. Existing primes are scaling fast. Yet finding the right opportunity, or even mapping who is doing what, is harder than it should be: roles are scattered across dozens of company sites, listings vary wildly in quality, and most generalist job boards do not cover defence well or at all.

We built DefenceJobs.org to close that gap — a single, up-to-date, opinionated index of the European defence-tech ecosystem, written by people who actually follow it.

How it works

Companies. Each company on the atlas is added after editorial review. We focus on innovative defence-tech firms — primarily startups and small-to-medium specialists building products for defence and dual-use customers. Companies can claim and edit their profile by emailing us.

Jobs. Listings link directly to each company’s own careers page or application portal — we never gate, repackage or re-host the application process. Stale or filled positions are removed regularly.

Editorial content. Country reports, sector analyses and company spotlights are written by our editorial team, named on every byline, with sources cited. We do not accept paid placements in editorial content.

Independence

DefenceJobs.org is a privately-owned independent publication. We are not affiliated with any government, defence ministry, contractor, investor or industry association. We do not accept advertising in editorial content. We do charge employers to list roles — that is how we cover the cost of running the site — but the choice of which companies appear on the atlas is editorial, not commercial.

Coverage

  • 31 countries: EU member states plus the UK, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Ukraine, plus remote roles.
  • All defence sectors: drones and counter-drones, defence AI and software, ground robotics, naval and maritime, space and satellites, sensors and EW, cybersecurity, advanced materials, communications, energy and logistics.
