We are an innovative start-up based in Amsterdam, specializing in developing advanced unmanned systems software for Defense. We have a diverse team of engineers, project managers and defense experts and are aiming to grow to 70+ employees within the coming year.

As Product Owner you are the link between users, development, operations, and business. You understand why something needs to be built and know how to prioritize it effectively in the roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with operational end-users (e.g., forward operators and defense partners) to translate mission challenges into actionable product improvements

• Own and refine the product backlog, translating themes and goals into clear epics and user stories

• Provide context, clear decisions, and priorities to the development team, balancing speed with quality

• Align roadmap and priorities with stakeholders such as engineering, customer success, business development, and the CPO

• Focus on maximum impact: what delivers operational advantage, reduces cognitive load, or opens new market segments?

• Help us transition from early adopters to a scalable product with repeatable value creation

Requirements

• Experience as a Product Owner or in a similar product-focused role within a technical environment

• Comfortable operating at the intersection of strategy, UX, technology, and customer engagement

• Affinity with software, AI/autonomy, or complex (mission) systems

• Analytical, curious, structured, and capable of influencing stakeholders

• Skilled at translating operational feedback into meaningful iterations

• Fluent in English; Dutch or additional languages are a plus

• Experience with defense or government clients is an advantage
