About the Position
The Quality Manager at Origin Robotics ensures that all drones and related components are manufactured to the highest standards of quality, reliability, and compliance. This role oversees quality control, quality assurance, issue management, and testing, ensuring the company meets regulations and standards while driving continuous improvement across operations.
At Origin Robotics, we design and build advanced robotic systems that operate in demanding real-world environments. As a Quality Manager, you'll play a key role in assuring that delivered systems are reliable, functional and helps company to achieving its mission – helping to defend the Baltics and NATO countries.
What You'll Do:

Quality Control: Oversee inspections of incoming parts and assembled drones, implement in‑process checks, manage non‑conformities, and maintain calibration of testing equipment.

Quality Assurance: Develop and maintain a QMS aligned with ISO 9001, AS9100, and EU Regulation 2019/945. Ensure product compliance with EASA, CAA Latvia, CE, STANAG, and MIL‑STD requirements. Lead audits, process improvements, and staff training.

Issue Management: Drive root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, warranty investigations, and transparent reporting of quality issues to stakeholders and regulators.

Testing & Validation: Define and execute functional, performance, and endurance testing of drones and subsystems in line with EASA Part 21 and Latvian CAA requirements. Support R&D with validation testing and oversee failure analysis.

Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, supply chain, regulators, and customers to embed quality into every stage of design, production, and certification.
What We're Looking For:

Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.

Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 (knowledge of AS9100, EU Regulation 2019/945, EASA Part 21, CE marking requirements, STANAG, MIL-STD will be seen as benefit).

Previous experience in aerospace, UAV, or high-tech manufacturing.

Expertise in root cause analysis, FMEA, Six Sigma.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
