36 or 40 hours per week | Rotterdam
Looking for: a Production Technician for production and assembly of the R1 haptic glove, SenseGlove's new haptic glove for teleoperation.
Position Overview
The Production Technician will be involved in the production, sub-assembly, final assembly, and quality control of the R1 haptic glove and its components. This role involves fine mechanical work with small, high-precision parts and requires strong technical skills, accuracy, and a sense of responsibility. The production Technician will work in a small production team with close and intensive collaboration, which is closely connected to R&D. Production of the R1 is currently in the start-up phase, meaning that production processes are still being set up, optimized, and improved. As a result, the role offers a lot of variety, room for initiative, and direct impact on how production is shaped. Production volumes are small-series, not mass production, and the role combines hands-on assembly with continuous improvement and problem-solving. The role offers a lot of opportunity to learn and develop.
Responsibilities

Assembly of mechanical components

Assembly with PCBs, wiring, actuators, and related components

Sub-assembly and final assembly of the R1 haptic glove

Quality control of externally produced components and sub-assemblies

Quality control of the assembled end product

Contributing to production optimization and process improvements during the production start-up phase
Who We're Looking For

Is strong in fine mechanics and comfortable working with small components
-
Has hands-on experience with drilling, screwing, soldering, and 3D printing
-
Enjoys working collaboratively in a small team environment that speaks English & Dutch, primarily English.

Is motivated by monthly goals and measurable progress
-
Takes ownership and responsibility for their work and product quality
-
Is eager to learn and continuously looks for improvements
-
Holds an MBO or HBO degree in mechatronics, electrical engineering, technical computer science, or a related technical field
-
Is highly solution-oriented and does not get discouraged when things do not work perfectly the first time

Is able to independently search for solutions and answers when challenges arise
