Marketing Intern – Campaigns & Events
Job Description
About EclecticIQ
EclecticIQ is a European cybersecurity threat intelligence company based in the Netherlands. We help enterprises and governments detect, investigate, and respond to advanced cyber threats. Our leadership team includes veterans from the Pentagon and NSA, and we're building next-generation threat intelligence platforms that give organizations the context they need to make faster, smarter security decisions. We're a tight-knit, high-performing team where everyone owns their work and sees direct impact.
About the Role
You'll get real ownership over marketing outputs that matter. Not endless support tasks or sitting on the sidelines. This is hands-on work where you'll plan social media posts, promote events, and write clear, professional content tailored to cybersecurity and government audiences.
You'll work in cybersecurity (one of the fastest-growing, most critical industries in tech) and learn how B2B marketing actually works in a lean, high-velocity environment. No fluff, no busywork. Just clear deliverables, tight feedback loops, and the chance to build a portfolio that proves you can execute.
What You'll Own
1. Social Media & Visual Content (50%)
-
Design and publish social posts across LinkedIn and X using Canva and brand templates
-
Maintain the campaign calendar: plan, schedule, publish, and report on performance weekly
-
Create visuals for campaigns, events, product launches, and thought leadership content
-
Track engagement metrics and adjust approach based on what's working
2. Campaign Messaging & Promotion (30%)
-
Support translating approved messaging into copy for different formats (social posts, email snippets, event descriptions)
-
Help package approved product updates into social posts and campaign materials
-
Support ad-hoc campaign projects with clear briefs and deadlines
-
Help maintain a library of approved messaging and templates
3. Events Support & Promotion (20%)
-
Drive promotional efforts for conferences, webinars, and community events (including BSides Den Haag in March 2026)
-
Coordinate pre-event social promotion and post-event content
-
Manage event assets, messaging, and digital presence
-
Own the event promotion checklist end-to-end
What We're Looking For
Must-haves:
-
Fluent English speaking and writing skills (business proficiency)
-
Design proficiency in Canva (or similar tools). You can make things look good, fast
-
Social media fluency. You know what performs on LinkedIn and X
-
Ownership mentality. You finish what you start, communicate progress clearly, and ask for guidance when needed
-
Strong written communication. You can adapt tone and messaging for different audiences
-
Detail-oriented and organized. You thrive on checklists, calendars, and hitting deadlines
Nice-to-haves:
-
Experience with HubSpot or similar marketing automation platforms
-
Interest in cybersecurity, B2B tech, or enterprise software
-
Event coordination or promotion experience
Tools You'll Use Daily
-
Canva (primary design tool)
-
HubSpot (social scheduling, email, CRM)
-
Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Calendar)
-
LinkedIn & X (native platforms)
-
Project management tools (Asana or similar)
What You'll Get
Real ownership. Specific deliverables with your name on them, not vague support-the-team tasks.
Marketing fundamentals. Learn how to plan, execute, measure, and iterate on campaigns in a high-velocity B2B environment.
Cybersecurity exposure. Work at the intersection of European cyber sovereignty, enterprise security, and threat intelligence. Critical issues shaping the future of digital defense.
Direct impact. Small team, big responsibilities. Your work will be visible and meaningful from day one.
Career foundation. Build a portfolio that demonstrates execution ability, design skills, and campaign thinking.
