
Composites Structural Stress Engineer
Job Description
Switzerland | onsite
Main responsibilities:
-
Develop new design concepts for composite assemblies of high complexity level
-
Perform structural analysis on composite primary and secondary structure parts for new aircraft programs
-
Take autonomous leadership of minor to major composite-related sub-projects regarding structural engineering work
-
Prepare documentation to support design reviews, tests, technical meetings and sizing Processes
Required qualifications and experience:
-
Master's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
-
Excellent knowledge and at least 5 years of proven experience in FE structural analysis (using NASTRAN or FEMAP, ABAQUS is a plus) on composite aircraft structures and their layout
-
Experience in deploying classical hand-calculation and stress analysis methods and utilizing Aerospace Industry Standard Reference sources
-
Fluent in English (C1 verbal and written), German is an advantage
-
Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under challenging timescales in a dynamic and responsive environment
-
Developed multi-level communication skills - from shopfloor production interactions through to management level presentations.
-
Ability to closely cooperate in a multicultural, vertically-integrated team
