About Archangel Autonomy
Archangel Autonomy develops autonomous technology for civil and military applications, working with law enforcement, first responders, NGOs, and military personnel. Their UXV platform operates autonomously in challenging environments, including areas without GPS or standard navigation signals.
The Role
Support system analysis, modelling, design and delivery of the UXV navigation co-pilot platform. Design and implement control systems for unmanned vehicles.
What You'll Do

Design, implement and test control systems for UXV navigation and control
-
Establish models, tools and processes for rapid design implementation and feature validation
-
Continuously improve systems, processes and tools
Requirements
-
Required: Strong control systems knowledge (state estimation, guidance, control)
-
Experience simulating complex dynamic systems
-
Sensor fusion and navigation expertise (EKF)
-
Scripting language proficiency, preferably Python
-
Technical and analytical problem-solving skills
-
Degree in Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering
-
Eligibility for full security clearance
Nice to Have
-
UAV/UXV/autonomous driving/aerospace embedded software experience
-
C/C++ knowledge
-
ROS and robotics sensor familiarity (IMU, GPS/GNSS, LIDAR, RADAR, cameras)
-
Model-based design tools (UML/SysML)
-
State-space control and advanced controller architecture knowledge
