Your Role As a System Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic engineering team designing and architecting spacecraft systems for nano and microsatellites. You will work across multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical, RF, software) to deliver integrated spacecraft solutions that meet mission‑critical requirements.
Your work spans the full spacecraft lifecycle, from concept studies through flight operations.
About the team You'll be working in GomSpace's Systems Engineering team, collaborating with talented engineers across mechanical design, software, RF, and project management. Our team is committed to delivering high‑quality, innovative satellite solutions.
Your Tasks

Conduct systems analysis and trade studies for spacecraft design.

Define and maintain system requirements and specifications.

Perform system architecture design and integration planning.

Support system-level design reviews and verification activities.

Conduct link budget analyses, power budgets, and thermal analyses.

Prepare technical documentation including system design reports.

Interface with customers and internal teams to clarify requirements.

Support proposal development and feasibility studies.

Contribute to continuous improvement of systems engineering processes.
What You Bring
-
3+ years of experience in systems engineering, spacecraft design, or similar complex technical projects.

Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles and methodologies.

Understanding of spacecraft subsystems (structure, thermal, power, AOCS, propulsion, communication).

Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Experience with technical documentation and requirements management.

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Proficiency in English.
Nice to have
-
Experience with satellite or spacecraft design.

Knowledge of space system standards (NASA, ESA, ECSS).

Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS, Polarion, etc.).

Background in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering.

Experience with CAD tools and engineering analysis software.
