Job Description

Are you passionate about building high‑quality test environments and ensuring reliable system performance? Do you thrive in a technical, hands‑on role where you help shape system integration tests for advanced aerospace technologies?

Your Role As a Software Test Engineer for the AOCS team, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining high‑quality test environments for spacecraft attitude and orbit control systems. You will develop test infrastructure, test cases, and automated testing frameworks that ensure the reliability and robustness of complex embedded software used on satellites.

Your work will span multiple platforms and technologies, from rapid prototyping to production systems – always with a focus on quality and thoroughness.

About the team The AOCS (Attitude and Orbit Control System) team at GomSpace develops mission‑critical software for satellite guidance and control. You'll be working alongside experienced software engineers and systems engineers in a collaborative, mission‑driven environment.

Your Tasks

  • Design and implement comprehensive test strategies for AOCS software.

  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test infrastructure.

  • Write and execute test cases across unit, integration, and system testing levels.

  • Build and maintain test harnesses and simulation environments.

  • Identify and troubleshoot software issues using test results and debugging techniques.

  • Collaborate with software developers to improve testability and code quality.

  • Document test procedures, results, and quality metrics.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

  • Prepare and maintain test environments and associated tools and scripts.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience with software testing, test automation, and test infrastructure.

  • Strong knowledge of test methodologies, test case design, and system integration testing.

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (C, C++, Python, etc.).

  • Experience with testing tools and frameworks.

  • Experience with version control systems (Git, etc.).

  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

  • Proficiency in English.

Nice to have

  • Experience with embedded systems testing or aerospace applications.

  • Knowledge of RTOS (Real Time Operating Systems).

  • Experience with continuous integration tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).

  • Experience with requirements traceability and quality assurance methodologies.

  • Knowledge of formal testing standards (DO‑178C, IEC 61508, etc.).
