Role Overview

We are seeking an Electronics Engineer to contribute to the development, testing, and certification of our hydrogen fuel cell–based power systems. This is a hands-on role involving electronics design support, prototyping, troubleshooting, and product development.

The ideal candidate is practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with hardware. Junior engineers will focus primarily on prototyping, testing, and documentation. In contrast, mid-level engineers will take on additional responsibilities, including electronics design, FMEA, supplier support, and mentoring junior team members.

This position is full-time and onsite in Tallinn due to the hands-on nature of the work.

Key Responsibilities

Electronics Development & Testing

  • Assemble, test, and troubleshoot electronic circuits, wiring, and PCB assemblies.

  • Conduct in-house PCB testing after assembly and perform diagnostics and measurements.

  • Participate in electronics design activities (mid-level: contribute more independently).

  • Develop and validate new hardware features and prototypes.

Prototyping & Product Development

  • Build, refine, and document prototypes together with cross-functional teams.

  • Participate in component evaluation, laboratory testing, and performance verification.

  • Support troubleshooting, iterative design activities, and experimental builds.

Documentation & Certification Support

  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation: assembly instructions, test reports, prototype notes, BOM updates, etc.

  • Contribute to CE/UL and other certification processes by providing technical input and test data.

  • Help maintain engineering standards and ensure documentation accuracy.

Cross-Team Collaboration & Project Support

  • Work closely with electronics, mechanical, software, and system engineers.

  • Support consultants and assist with PCBA outsourcing and supplier-related tasks (e.g., production file preparation, BOM updates, alternative component sourcing).

  • Participate in and occasionally lead (mid-level) electronics-related projects.

Reliability & Quality Activities

  • Conduct or support FMEA analyses for existing and future electronics boards.

  • Help ensure compliance with internal standards and quality requirements.

  • Maintain lab equipment, tools, and workspaces for safe and efficient operation.

Essential Skills & Requirements

For Junior-Level

  • Background in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.

  • Practical skills in soldering, wiring, hardware assembly, and working with lab tools.

  • Basic understanding of electronic components, circuits, and measurement equipment.

  • Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.

For Mid-Level

  • Completed bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

  • At least 2+ years of hands-on experience in electronics development, testing, or PCB-related work.

  • Experience with PCB design tools, prototype development, and electronics debugging.

  • Ability to create or maintain documentation, test procedures, and BOMs.

  • Familiarity with CE/UL certification or quality/reliability processes (FMEA, verification testing).

  • Ability to work independently on development tasks.

For All Candidates

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

  • Good written and spoken English for daily communication and documentation.

  • Reliable, organised, and comfortable working in a high-paced engineering environment.

  • Creative problem solver, proactive and independent.

  • Able to work onsite in Tallinn.

What We Offer

  • A unique opportunity to work on clean and sustainable energy technologies.

  • Hands-on, practical experience with real hardware and real products.

  • Mentorship from experienced engineers in electronics, mechanics, software and system development.

  • A friendly and international working environment where growth and learning are encouraged.

How to Apply

Interested candidates are invited to submit their CV and a short motivation letter below or email [email protected]. Please highlight relevant work experience, projects, coursework, or hands-on experience. The new team member is expected to join as soon as possible.
