Electronics Engineer, Radar Payload Team
Location: Remote (flexible based in either Finland or Austria)

As an Electronics Engineer on the Radar Payload Team, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge satellite technology. You'll work on critical radar payload systems that power ICEYE's world-leading synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite constellation. Your expertise will directly contribute to delivering space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities that enable governments and allied nations to detect and respond to critical changes anywhere on Earth with unprecedented speed and accuracy.

This includes sovereign and turnkey ISR missions leveraging ICEYE's world-leading synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite technology, as well as access to data from the world's largest SAR satellite constellation. These capabilities enable partners to detect and respond to critical changes anywhere on Earth with unprecedented speed and accuracy, day or night and in any weather, supported by ultra high-resolution imagery and high-frequency revisits.

The Role
You will be responsible for developing, testing, and qualifying radar payload electronic systems for satellite platforms. Key responsibilities include:

Design and develop radar payload electronics boards/modules

Perform circuit analysis and simulation for high-frequency systems

Support test activities including thermal vacuum, vibration, and EMC
-
Interface with mechanical and software teams

Support mission assurance and problem solving

Contribute to technical documentation and design reviews

Participate in supplier management and part qualification

Collaborate with the radar payload team on integration and system-level testing
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

3+ years of professional experience in electronics design

Strong understanding of circuit design fundamentals

Proficiency in circuit simulation tools and PCB design

Experience with high-reliability systems (preferably space or aerospace)

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work collaboratively across teams

Fluency in English

Working knowledge of ISO standards (e.g., IEC 61508) is beneficial

Experience with RF/microwave design and/or high-frequency electronics is beneficial
-
Experience with FPGA design and/or embedded systems is a plus
