Electronics Engineering Manager, Radar Payload Team
Location: Remote (flexible based in either Finland or Austria)

As an Electronics Engineering Manager on the Radar Payload Team, you will lead a team of talented engineers developing cutting-edge satellite technology. You'll oversee critical radar payload systems that power ICEYE's world-leading synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite constellation. Your leadership will directly contribute to delivering space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities that enable governments and allied nations to detect and respond to critical changes anywhere on Earth with unprecedented speed and accuracy.

This includes sovereign and turnkey ISR missions leveraging ICEYE's world-leading synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite technology, as well as access to data from the world's largest SAR satellite constellation. The Role
You will be responsible for managing the Electronics Engineering team on the Radar Payload Team. Key responsibilities include:

Lead and mentor a team of electronics engineers

Oversee development, testing, and qualification of radar payload electronic systems

Ensure technical excellence and adherence to space standards

Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources

Interface with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, systems)

Drive continuous improvement and innovation in electronics design

Represent the team in technical reviews and steering meetings

Contribute to technical documentation and design governance

Support supplier management and part qualification
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

7+ years of professional experience in electronics design (3+ years in a leadership role)

Proven track record of managing technical teams

Strong understanding of circuit design and high-frequency electronics

Experience with high-reliability systems (preferably space or aerospace)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Ability to work collaboratively across teams

Fluency in English

Working knowledge of ISO standards (e.g., IEC 61508) is essential

Experience with RF/microwave design is beneficial

Familiarity with system-level design and integration is a plus
