As an ECAD (Electronic Computer Aided Design) Support Engineer, you will provide critical technical support to ICEYE's design and engineering teams. You'll manage design tools, libraries, databases, and ensure teams have the systems and resources they need to efficiently design and develop spacecraft electronics. Your work will directly enable faster design cycles, reduce errors, and support the development of the world's most advanced SAR satellites.

Role Summary
Reporting to the ECAD Manager, you will provide comprehensive technical support to ICEYE's electronics design and engineering teams. This permanent role focuses on managing ECAD tools, libraries, databases, and design standards—ensuring that design teams have efficient, reliable systems. You'll also provide guidance on best practices, troubleshoot design issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and support ECAD tools, software, and databases (Cadence, Altium, or similar)

Maintain and develop component libraries and symbol/footprint databases

Support design teams with technical guidance, troubleshooting, and tool optimization

Develop and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices

Assist with design review processes and provide feedback on design quality

Collaborate with IT and vendors to ensure tools are updated and functioning optimally

Document processes and best practices for design teams

Train users on design tools and standards
What We Are Looking For
You will have:

At least 3 years of experience supporting ECAD tools and design teams (Cadence, Altium, or similar)

Strong knowledge of electronics design workflows and best practices

Experience with component libraries, symbols, and footprints

Understanding of PCB design principles and standards

Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills

Excellent communication and training abilities
-
Experience in aerospace or defense electronics is a plus
