About Exotrail
Exotrail is a leading space technology company developing the SpaceVan™ spacecraft for satellite missions and in-orbit services.
The Role
We are looking for a Master's student to join our Avionics team for a 6-month internship (starting January–March 2026) focusing on embedded software development and testing.
What You'll Do

Develop Python applications on Linux to simulate hardware components and client payloads

Implement communication interfaces including UART, CAN, and RS-485 protocols
-
Create and execute automated tests using hardware simulators and benches
-
Document technical work and support continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
-
Required: Master's degree or equivalent (Bac+4 or Bac+5) in embedded systems or computer science
-
Proficiency in C and Python programming
-
Experience with Linux/FreeRTOS environments
-
Knowledge of Git version control
-
Understanding of embedded communication protocols
-
Familiarity with testing methodologies and troubleshooting
-
Proactivity, curiosity, and teamwork mindset
Nice to Have
-
Electronics background
-
Satellite or aerospace domain knowledge

Experience with hardware simulation
