Established in 2017, Infinite Orbits is a NewSpace company based in Toulouse, pushing the boundaries of in-orbit services with cutting-edge spacecraft driven by its own Rendezvous solution, an advanced Autonomous Vision-Based Navigation Solution. Our key projects include

"Orbit Guard" a Smallsat capable of monitoring objects in GEO orbit, and "Endurance" a docking service extending customer satellites' lifespans by 5 years.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Situational Space Awareness (SSA) Intern to join our dynamic and international team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the Navigation and System Engineering Departments while contributing to innovative projects that are shaping the future of in-orbit services.

Job Description

• Analyse data from space-based sensors to survey the GEO belt.

• Support the team in preparing technical deliverables for the customer.

• Conduct research on sensor capacity to fulfil mission requirements.

• Collaborate with the GNC and System Engineering teams to elaborate mission analysis.

• Participate in mission and satellite design discussions.

• Proceed to simulations of missions using Infinite Orbits tools (also participate in the development of these tools).

Requirements

• Students doing a Master's degree or equivalent, specifically in the field of Aerospace/Space Engineering or related discipline, available for a minimum of 5 months internship.

• Knowledge of satellite architectures, subsystems, Flight Dynamics, control systems and space environments.

• Strong interest in optical payloads and communication subsystems.

• Coding skills in Matlab/Simulink as well as Python.

• Excellent abstraction and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.

• PhD students residing anywhere and available for a minimum of 3 months.
