Business Development Manager (m/f/d)
Job Description
We are looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager (m/f/d) to help drive our growth across the European defense sector. You will support our strategic objectives by identifying new opportunities, nurturing key relationships, and helping position our solutions in a highly regulated and dynamic environment.
As a vital contributor to our Business Development team, you'll play a hands-on role in expanding our customer base, engaging with strategic partners, and contributing to the long-term success of our business in the defense ecosystem.
Responsibilities

Research and evaluate new business opportunities including defense tenders, joint ventures, and modernisation programs across the EU defense landscape

Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers in defense ministries, armed forces, OEMs, and integrators

Work alongside senior sales and capture teams to develop tailored value propositions, proposals, and presentations for government and B2B clients

Monitor defense procurement trends and competitor activities; gather insights to support strategic planning and improve positioning

Coordinate with partnerships, product, and compliance teams to ensure alignment across all stages of the business development cycle

Track opportunities in CRM tools, maintain accurate records, and report on business development metrics regularly
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field

2+ years of relevant experience in business development, account management, or sales within the defense, aerospace, or government contracting sectors

Basic understanding of defense acquisition processes, public tendering systems, and stakeholder ecosystems in Europe

Excellent communication skills with business fluency in both German and English (written and spoken)

Comfortable delivering presentations and interfacing with external partners and clients

Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally as required

Self-starter with a growth mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
