Your mission
As Sales Manager at OKAPI:Orbits, your mission is to accelerate the adoption of space‑traffic‑management and space‑safety solutions worldwide. You turn OKAPI:Orbits' vision of a safer, more sustainable space environment into commercial reality by building trusted partnerships, expanding our global customer base, and championing the value of responsible operations in orbit. Through strategic leadership, deep market insight, and a passion for innovation, you empower satellite operators, launch providers, insurers, defence and governmental organizations to navigate space more safely and efficiently. Your work ensures that OKAPI:Orbits' cutting‑edge technologies become an essential foundation for the growing space economy—protecting assets, reducing collision risks, and enabling humanity's continued access to space.
Your tasks and responsibilities

Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospects, from initial outreach to contract negotiation and closing

Develop international sales partnerships with key industry stakeholders like integrators, platform providers, and data providers

Represent OKAPI:Orbits at conferences, trade fairs, and industry events to strengthen brand visibility and thought leadership

Maintain accurate sales forecasting, pipeline tracking, and reporting by improving our existing CRM Hubspot setup

Manage the full commercial lifecycle, including proposal development, pricing strategies, and contract finalization
Your profile
Must-haves:
-
4-7 years of B2B/B2G sales experience, ideally in aerospace, space operations, SaaS, Earth observation, defense, aviation, or other high‑tech/regulated industries

Strategic thinking: able to identify market opportunities, segment customers, and shape targeted go‑to‑market approaches

Proven track record of developing new markets, closing complex deals, and managing long sales cycles with technical stakeholders

Experience engaging with international customers, including government agencies, satellite operators, service providers, and integrators

Familiarity with CRM-driven sales processes including HubSpot and data‑driven pipeline management
-
Able to translate complex technical concepts into business value for non‑technical decision makers

Exceptional ability to qualify leads, build trust, and manage stakeholder relationships at multiple levels (technical, operational, and executive)

Strong negotiation and contract‑closing skills, with experience navigating procurement in commercial and governmental settings

Clear, persuasive communicator with strong presentation and storytelling abilities
Nice-to-haves:

Strong understanding of (or high ability to learn quickly about) satellite operations, SSA, STC/STM, regulatory frameworks and spce industry

Experience with proposal creation, pricing models, and supporting RFP responses

Past experience in entrepreneurial environment with hands‑on attitude

Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Aerospace, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field

Additional training or certifications in sales, negotiation, or space sector topics
