The Role

ARX Robotics seeks an engineer to design and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop test systems for unmanned ground vehicles. The role focuses on integration and validation across vehicle subsystems.

What You Will Do

• Develop and operate HIL testbenches for drivetrain, steering, braking, battery/BMS, and compute systems

• Create simulation models using tools like Simscape or CANoe

• Author automated test cases and analyze coverage

• Integrate physical hardware components and develop custom test interfaces

• Collaborate across software, electrical, and mechanical teams

• Generate reports and triage defects with detailed logs

• Manage external testing laboratories and validation activities

• Maintain documented configurations and ensure traceability

Requirements

• HIL development experience with testbench hardware and fault injection

• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent simulation tools

• Control systems knowledge including sensors and actuators

• Data logging and requirements-based validation skills

• Basic software programming; CAN/Ethernet protocol familiarity

• Team collaboration abilities in fast-paced environments

• Fluent English communication (written and spoken)
