About Quantum Diamonds
Quantum Diamonds (founded 2022 from TU Munich) leverages quantum sensors to rapidly capture three-dimensional current maps within multi-layer chips for semiconductor testing and yield analysis.
The Role
Design and optimize high-stability mechanical components and motion assemblies for quantum sensing systems, focusing on precision positioning and automated measurement workflows.
What You'll Do

Design precision mechanical assemblies and positioning systems for quantum sensing applications

Evaluate and select components including motion stages, mounts, and materials
-
Conduct simulations, tolerance analysis, and mechanical testing for design validation
-
Collaborate with optical, electronics, and software engineering teams
-
Communicate with manufacturing partners regarding performance and quality standards
-
Document designs, test results, and integration guidelines
Requirements
-
MSc with 4+ years industry experience OR PhD with 2+ years experience
-
3+ years hands-on mechanical systems design for scientific/industrial applications
-
Proficiency in precision mechanical design, GD&T, metrology, and manufacturing
-
FEA and simulation tool experience
-
System error budgeting expertise
-
Strong communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
Nice to Have
- Electrical engineering or microscopy experience
