Senior Mechanical Engineer (m/f/d)
Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (m/f/d) with a passion for designing and developing cutting-edge off-road robotic vehicles (UGVs). In this role, you will be involved in customer projects, payload integrations, and robot development, contributing throughout the entire product lifecycle from initial concept to production.
Responsibilities

Design and develop 3D CAD models for robotic vehicles, components, and payload integrations

Create and maintain technical documentation, including design decisions, BOMs, and production drawings

Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration
-
Solve complex mechanical challenges with a hands-on approach

Optimize designs for manufacturability, weight, durability, and serviceability in harsh environments
-
Support prototyping, testing, and production of robots and payloads
Requirements

5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in machinery engineering
-
Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (preferably Autodesk Inventor)

Experience in creating detailed models and production drawings
-
Familiarity with metal fabrication (sheet metal, CNC machining, welding, etc.)

Strong team player who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment
-
Self-motivated and independent, with a willingness to take ownership of tasks

Proven ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve complex mechanical problems in a fast-paced, real-world engineering environment

Fluency in English and German language skills are a plus

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
