The Role

Lead mechanical development of modular industrial robots from concept through production validation.

What You'll Do

• Direct mechanical design and development of robotic components from initial concept to series production

• Create designs balancing functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness

• Execute prototyping, assembly, and system integration

• Plan and conduct mechanical testing to verify performance, durability, and safety

• Analyze test results and drive design improvements

• Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, software, and production teams

• Prepare technical documentation for designs, specifications, and test reports

• Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable field

• Minimum 5 years professional experience in mechanical engineering with hands-on expertise in both design and testing

• Strong CAD proficiency (SolidWorks preferred; Inventor, CATIA acceptable)

• Proven track record designing, building, and validating complex mechanical assemblies

• Solid understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing

• Hands-on prototyping and assembly experience

• Complex problem-solving abilities

• Excellent technical communication skills

• Fluent English; German proficiency advantageous
