(Senior) Mechatronics Engineer (f/m/d)
Job Description
We're looking for a motivated Mechatronics Engineer to join our hardware team. In this role you'll lead the design, development, and integration of electrical systems for our robots.
You will be responsible for component selection, electrical integration of sensors and payloads, as well as developing and testing prototypes to optimise system performance and transition to production.
Responsibilities

System design and development: Define requirements and design electrical systems

Component and supplier qualification: Select and qualify components, ensuring they meet performance and quality standards

Sensor and payload integration: Integrate sensors and payloads into electrical systems seamlessly

Prototype development and testing: Build and test prototypes to validate system functionality and reliability
-
Team Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical, software, and systems teams
-
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, assist with certifications
Requirements

Experienced in maintaining electromechanical systems and interpreting technical documentation

Proficient in diagnosing and replacing electrical components, including wiring, sensors, and motors, while using diagnostic tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes

Strong understanding and safe handling of high-voltage (100V) systems, with knowledge of relevant safety standards

Skilled in soldering, assembling components, and understanding embedded systems interfacing with electromechanical systems
-
Familiarity with battery management systems for maintenance and fault diagnosis is a plus

Capable of documenting procedures and effectively communicating technical findings and customer feedback to an English-speaking team

Demonstrates strong problem-solving, organizational skills, and attention to detail, adhering to precise protocols

Proactive communicator with willingness to work in a young, multicultural team with a strong English proficiency
