The Role

Lead the Safety Engineering & Mission Assurance function development for ARX Robotics' autonomous unmanned ground vehicle programs.

What You Will Do

• Lead Safety Engineering & Mission Assurance function development

• Create and sustain Safety Case and Mission Assurance Plans for UGV programs

• Ensure compliance with IEC 61508, EN ISO 13849, ISO 26262, NATO standards, and EU Machinery Regulation 2023/1230

• Execute safety analysis methods (HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA/FMECA, FTA, STPA)

• Implement RAMS-based engineering approach

• Mentor engineering teams on safety culture and standards

• Manage safety audits and certification activities

Requirements

• 15+ years in Safety or Mission Assurance roles (defense, robotics, aerospace, or automotive preferred)

• Proven safety case development and RAMS framework expertise

• Advanced system safety analysis knowledge

• Degree in Systems/Safety Engineering, Aerospace, Robotics, or Mechanical Engineering

• Strong leadership and cross-disciplinary communication abilities

Nice to Have

• Autonomous systems or UGV experience

• Software safety assurance background

• Robotics reliability framework exposure
