Quantum Diamonds is a TU Munich spin-off founded in 2022, employing approximately 30 professionals developing quantum sensing technologies for semiconductor chip analysis.
The Role
PhD research position at the intersection of materials science, plasma physics, and quantum sensing. Degree granted by Technical University of Munich.
What You'll Do
-
Operate and optimize chemical vapor deposition systems for synthetic diamond growth

Collaborate with Fraunhofer Institute experts
-
Develop growth parameters for NV-doped diamond materials
-
Characterize diamond properties through spectroscopic and optical techniques

Contribute to publications and patents
Requirements
-
Master's degree in Physics, Physical Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field
-
Strong background in experimental research, preferably in thin-film deposition, plasma physics, or crystal growth

English fluency required; German is advantageous
