The Role

Experienced backend engineer to develop scalable systems for geospatial intelligence platform. Focus on designing reliable, performant infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Architect and maintain backend systems and services

• Partner with cross-functional teams on software delivery

• Produce clean, maintainable, and efficient code

• Enhance performance and scalability metrics

• Safeguard application security and data integrity

• Debug and resolve technical issues

• Mentor junior team members

• Maintain current knowledge of industry developments

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline

• Minimum 5 years backend development experience

• Proficiency in Python or Java

• Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns

• Database expertise (SQL and NoSQL systems)

• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

• Containerization tool knowledge

• RESTful API and microservices familiarity

• Fluency in Greek and English

• Problem-solving aptitude

Nice to Have

• Geospatial data or Earth observation background

• DevOps and CI/CD pipeline knowledge

• Authentication protocols (OpenID, OAuth2)

• Git version control experience
