The Role

Spatial Data Infrastructure Software Engineer to join the expanding team in Athens, focusing on designing and developing spatial data applications.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop web based spatial data applications

• Assist with system deployment and configuration

• Create technical documentation

• Implement geospatial analysis tools

• Oversee projects to ensure technical quality, product delivery and impactful work

• Coordinate with stakeholders and partners

Requirements

• GIS and Earth Observation conceptual understanding

• GIS web-based solution development using specialized libraries

• Experience with EO/GIS server solutions (MapServer, GeoServer, ESRI, HEXAGON)

• Relational database expertise with spatial extensions (PostgreSQL/PostGIS, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server)

• Programming proficiency in JavaScript, Java, Python, PHP

• Technologies: .NET, Web APIs, Docker

• Technical publication and tender proposal preparation

• Proficiency in English and Greek

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent teamwork and stakeholder communication

Nice to Have

• Copernicus DIASs, Data Cubes, Big Data, and AI concepts knowledge

• Experience with spatial data infrastructure projects
