About the company
Fiducial is a young but fast-growing deep-tech start-up with big ambitions at the frontier of autonomy, perception, and defence. Our core expertise lies in 3D vision and graphics technologies which we deploy in a dual-use context for inspection and defence. This role will focus on developing embedded software for advanced UAV systems.
Our team consists of experienced embedded systems engineers. We're looking for talented developers to help us build robust, real-time embedded systems for defence applications.
What we're looking for:
We're seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer with expertise in real-time systems and low-level programming. You should have experience with embedded Linux, microcontrollers, and hardware interfaces. Experience with UAV systems or aerospace applications is valuable.
Key responsibilities:

Develop embedded software for real-time systems

Work with hardware interfaces and drivers

Optimize code for resource-constrained environments

Conduct system testing and debugging

Collaborate with hardware engineers

Maintain embedded system documentation
Skill Requirements:
Absolute must-haves:

Strong C/C++ programming skills

Experience with embedded Linux or RTOS

Knowledge of hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, CAN, etc.)

Experience with microcontrollers or SoCs

Problem-solving skills

Excellent English communication
Nice-to-haves:

Real-time systems experience

Experience with Yocto or BuildRoot
