Fiducial is a young but fast-growing deep-tech start-up with big ambitions at the frontier of autonomy, perception, and defence. Our core expertise lies in 3D vision and graphics technologies which we deploy in a dual-use context for inspection and defence. Our focus is on developing advanced UAV systems for perception and situational awareness in demanding defence applications.

Our team consists of experienced engineers with backgrounds in aerospace, robotics, and autonomous systems. We're looking for talented individuals to help us push the boundaries of what's possible.

What we're looking for:

We're seeking a Mechanical Engineer to help design and optimize mechanical systems for our UAV platforms. You should have experience with mechanical design, simulation, and prototyping. Experience with UAVs, drones, or aerospace systems is a plus.

Key responsibilities:

• Design mechanical components and assemblies for UAV systems

• Conduct FEA analysis and structural optimization

• Develop prototypes and conduct testing

• Collaborate with electrical and software engineers

• Optimize designs for weight, performance, and manufacturability

• Document designs and maintain design standards

Skill Requirements:

Absolute must-haves:

• Proficiency with CAD software (CATIA, Creo, Solidworks, or similar)

• Understanding of mechanical design principles

• FEA experience or knowledge

• Experience with prototyping and testing

• Problem-solving and analytical skills

• Excellent English communication

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with UAV or drone design

• Aerospace design experience

• Knowledge of composite materials

• Experience with manufacturing processes

• Background in aerodynamics
