About the company

Fiducial is a young but fast-growing deep-tech start-up with big ambitions at the frontier of autonomy, perception, and defence. Our core expertise lies in 3D vision and graphics technologies which we deploy in a dual-use context for inspection and defence. This role will focus on developing cloud-based services and APIs for our UAV autonomy and perception software.

Our team consists of engineers passionate about cutting-edge technology. We're looking for talented developers who can help us scale our infrastructure.

What we're looking for:

We're seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to help build and maintain our cloud infrastructure and APIs. You should have strong experience with modern backend frameworks, databases, and cloud deployment. You'll work on building APIs that support our computer vision and autonomy systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs

• Work with databases and caching systems

• Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

• Collaborate with frontend and ML engineers

• Write well-tested, maintainable code

• Optimize system performance and reliability

Skill Requirements:

Absolute must-haves:

• Proficiency in Python, Go, Rust, or Java

• Experience with REST APIs or gRPC

• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Excellent English communication

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with Kubernetes and containerization

• Knowledge of microservices architecture

• Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka)

• Familiarity with computer vision or robotics
