The Role

We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer specializing in liquid propellant rocket engine testing for our Barcelona facility. This is a full-time, indefinite hybrid role in the Test department.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians involved in testing operations

• Oversee test facility operations, maintenance, and safety compliance

• Lead comprehensive liquid rocket engine testing processes from planning through analysis

• Develop and implement test procedures and safety protocols

• Prepare detailed test plans, schedules, and reports

• Coordinate facility upgrades with engineering teams

• Ensure regulatory compliance with industry standards

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years aerospace hardware project experience

• Familiarity with standards such as ECSS

• Demonstrated expertise managing complex testing campaigns

• Strong leadership and cross-functional team management skills

• Knowledge of safety practices in high-pressure testing environments

• Experience with data acquisition and control systems

• Hands-on experience in managing cryogenic propulsion test setups

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep rocket engine understanding

• Environmental and regulatory compliance knowledge

• Excellent communication (technical and non-technical)

• Fluent English; Spanish and French advantageous

Location & Travel

Hybrid position based in Barcelona, with frequent travel to the Alguaire test site (2 hours away) and occasional international facility visits.
