The Role

This role encompasses managing commercial legal operations for the organization, providing counsel across multiple legal domains, and supporting strategic initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Managing commercial legal operations for the organization

• Reviewing and negotiating business contracts across multiple areas

• Providing counsel on employment law, intellectual property, and data privacy matters

• Supporting special initiatives including product launches, capital raises, and merger/acquisition activities

• Conducting employee training on legal compliance topics

• Developing and implementing organizational policies

• Creating standard contractual templates

• Researching multi-jurisdictional legal requirements

• Assisting the Chief Financial Officer with company secretarial duties

Requirements

• Required: Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience as a solicitor or lawyer

• Background in either corporate practice or in-house legal roles

• Independent work capability with collaborative skills

• Pragmatic commercial mindset

• Capacity to manage competing priorities

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

• Initiative in acquiring new legal knowledge areas

Nice to Have

• Background in tech, software, AI, or defense sectors

• Prior startup or fast-paced environment experience
