Blighter Surveillance Systems is a radar systems manufacturer specializing in electronic-scanning ground surveillance radar and counter-drone systems. The company provides innovative solutions for defense, security, and critical infrastructure protection.
The Role
Technical Support Manager position ensuring exceptional customer experience by providing technical support, managing demonstration assets, and delivering training to optimize radar system performance. Reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
What You Will Do
Customer Support:

Resolve technical issues at first contact when possible

Maintain response times aligned with service agreements
-
Minimize system downtime for clients
Asset Management:
-
Keep demonstration equipment and radar sites operational at least 90% of the time
-
Ensure all OFCOM licenses remain valid and compliant
Process Management:
-
Oversee the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process
-
Maintain compliance standards
-
Generate accurate reporting for process improvement
Success Metrics
-
Customer satisfaction ratings of 90% or higher after demonstrations and training
-
Consistent response times meeting service level agreements
-
Demo site availability of 90% or greater
-
Accurate financial tracking for the support department
Requirements
-
Required: Technical background with radar or security sensor systems
-
Proactive problem-solving capabilities
-
Cross-functional project leadership
-
Strong customer-facing communication skills
-
Professional integrity and adaptability
-
English language proficiency with cultural awareness
-
Degree or equivalent in a relevant technical field
-
Valid UK driving license with domestic and international travel willingness
Nice to Have
-
Education and Training award level 3 minimum or teaching qualification
-
IOSH Managing Safety certification or equivalent
Time Allocation
Approximately two-thirds of time supporting customers and managing RMA processes; one-third addressing technical inquiries, training, and demonstrations; 25% domestic or international travel expected.
