The Role

ARX Robotics seeks a seasoned technical leader to lead the development and execution of the regional robotics engineering strategy for mission-critical defense applications.

What You Will Do

Strategic & Technical Leadership

• Develop technical strategy for regional robotics advancement

• Maintain excellence across robotics, AI/ML, computer vision, embedded systems, and mechanical integration

• Balance innovation with reliability and defense compliance

• Convert organizational strategy into actionable engineering roadmaps

Organizational Leadership

• Build and scale regional engineering teams across disciplines

• Recruit and mentor high-caliber technical talent

• Foster accountability and continuous improvement culture

• Coach emerging leaders

Program & Delivery Management

• Own end-to-end regional engineering program delivery

• Manage budgets, resources, and risk oversight

• Ensure systems engineering, testing, certification, and production readiness

• Maintain defense standard and cybersecurity compliance

External Engagement

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and operations

• Represent company to defense partners and government stakeholders

• Establish thought leadership within UK defense robotics sector

Requirements

• 5+ years senior leadership experience (Director/VP level)

• Robotics, defense systems, or advanced engineering background

• Deep technical expertise in autonomy, AI/ML, or embedded systems

• Demonstrated success with production-grade defense systems

• Systems engineering and multidisciplinary program delivery experience

• Budget management and executive reporting capability

• Defense procurement and security clearance familiarity

• Cybersecurity or safety-critical systems background
