About Aerospacelab Our mission is supported by an ambitious vertically integrated approach: design & manufacture of small satellites combined with development of earth observation services. Since its creation in 2018, the company has already grown substantially. Our team gathers more than 25 engineering expertise, from hardware design to software development & data science.
In 2025, Aerospacelab counts offices in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium), Toulouse (France), Lausanne (Switzerland) and US West Coast with more than 200 full-time employees, with the ambition to position itself as the European leader in small satellites.
Role Overview
- Accomplish tasks in our facilities, including:
- Mechanical and electrical assembly, integration and testing of the company prototypes and products
- Environmental testing of the company prototypes and products (vibration, thermal vacuum, ..)
- Support launcher integration activities
- Be responsible for ground support equipment design and manufacturing for handling and testing of company products
- Support and review the mechanical, thermal, and electrical design of the company products
Must have
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field
- Problem solving, hands-on mentality
- Ability to work autonomously across teams and company to drive multi-disciplinary projects to completion
- Experience in CAD
- Fluent in English
- Willingness to learn a broad range of engineering topics
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with design and assembly of complex assemblies
- Experience in production of engineering drawings (mechanical and/or electrical)
- Experience in use of milling machine, lathe, drills, etc
- Experience with programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, C, C++,…)
- Experience with environmental testing (Vibration, thermal,..)
- Prior experience in space sector
