The Role

This newly created role within the Business Development team focuses on managing complex European tender responses. Report directly to commercial leadership.

What You'll Do

Monitoring & Strategic Anticipation:

• Identify institutional tender opportunities from ESA, European Commission, Horizon Europe, and similar bodies

• Track European space policies relevant to company strategy

• Maintain call calendar oversight

Strategic Evaluation & Prioritization:

• Assess opportunity alignment with company direction and capabilities

• Develop go/no-go analyses for leadership

• Allocate internal resources across engineering, finance, legal, and communications

• Optimize effort investment relative to potential ROI

Proposal Development & Oversight:

• Structure and lead complete responses (technical, administrative, financial)

• Coordinate internal teams and external partners including consortiums

• Consolidate technical and commercial elements

• Ensure compliance and quality before submission

Project Execution:

• Facilitate transition from proposal to implementation phases

• Oversee contractual execution with technical project managers

• Maintain alignment between deliverables and client commitments

Requirements

• Required: Engineering degree (Telecommunications, RF, Space Systems, Aerospace or equivalent), ideally supplemented by management, business, or European affairs training

• 5-10 years managing complex international tenders, preferably in space, defense, or Earth observation sectors

• Solid understanding of European programs (ESA, Horizon Europe, Copernicus, EDA)

• Mastery of European public tender processes

• Ability to structure complex proposals and conduct strategic negotiations

• Fluent English (written and oral)

• Cross-functional leadership and analytical rigor

• Results and quality orientation

• Clear communication and collaborative mindset

Nice to Have

• Valued experience in strategy consulting or industrial aerospace organizations
