The Role

Strategic director leading government and defence sales, building relationships with ministries, space agencies, and industry partners across Europe and beyond.

What You Will Do

• Own high-value government accounts from initial contact through contract closure

• Drive consortium-based approaches to public tenders across Europe, Middle East, and Asia

• Develop repeatable processes for long-cycle government sales with stakeholder mapping

• Represent the company at defence and resilience events globally

• Provide market insights and pipeline visibility to leadership

• Collaborate with technical teams on proposal development

Requirements

• Required: Demonstrated experience in defence, aerospace, or government partnerships with public procurement knowledge

• Understanding of satellite technology, mission architectures, and Earth observation platforms

• Proven ability converting strategic relationships into large, multi-stakeholder contracts

• Deep knowledge of government sales processes and consortium dynamics

• High autonomy with capability to create structure in emerging markets

• Technical competency in remote sensing or defence intelligence data analysis

• Board-level communication skills

• Fluent English; German strongly preferred

• NATO member state citizenship (security clearance requirement)

Nice to Have

• Earth Observation, ISR, or remote sensing background

• European institutional experience (ESA, DLR, CNES, EDF)

• Existing defence and aerospace networks
