The Role

Mission Operations Software Engineer developing and maintaining safety-critical tools for satellite operations, focusing on automation, infrastructure scaling, and cybersecurity.

What You Will Do

• Maintain and enhance existing safety-critical in-house tools

• Implement features to improve operations and automate processes

• Develop new tools based on mission requirements

• Collaborate with satellite operations teams on technical solutions

• Engage with suppliers for tool maintenance and updates

• Prioritize cybersecurity in all developments

Requirements

• Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science

• Professional software development experience with Python proficiency (aerospace or safety-critical experience preferred)

• SQL and database expertise, ideally PostgreSQL or InfluxDB

• Git version control and CI/CD pipeline experience

• Demonstrated interest in space operations or Earth observation missions

• Strong task prioritization and deadline management

• Fluent English communication

Nice to Have

• Linux development and deployment experience

• Rust programming knowledge

• AWS or cloud platform familiarity

• Data visualization tools like Grafana
