Ardupilot Engineer
Job Description
Swarmer seeks an engineer to design autonomous flight control solutions for UAVs and robotic platforms, collaborating across AI, perception, and mission-planning teams to build intelligent multi-robot systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and configure Ardupilot-based flight control systems for various UAV platforms
-
Debug and optimize flight behaviors in SITL and real flight environments
-
Collaborate with hardware engineers on sensor integration (GPS, cameras, LiDAR)
-
Contribute to documentation, simulation environments, and development standards
Requirements:
-
3+ years hands-on experience with Ardupilot, PX4, or similar autopilot stacks
-
Strong MAVLink and mission planning protocol knowledge
-
Practical UAV tuning and flight testing experience using tools like Mission Planner
-
EKF configuration and debugging expertise
-
Understanding of autonomous navigation and control theory
-
Independent work capability in fast-paced R&D settings
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Python or similar language proficiency for custom modules
-
Linux and companion computer experience (Raspberry Pi, Jetson)
-
Knowledge of Betaflight/INAV firmware
