The Role
Manage V-model design processes for autonomous navigation systems, working on UXV (Unmanned Extendable Vehicles) navigation co-pilot platform.
What You'll Do
-
Manage V-model design processes for autonomous navigation systems with trade study analysis
-
Define and monitor system requirements from conceptual phase through subsystem specification
-
Build and maintain system architectures meeting technical specifications
-
Develop features through modeling, tools, and processes across the engineering lifecycle
-
Manage technical risks collaboratively with team and project management
-
Address stakeholder technical concerns and communications
Requirements
-
Required: 2-3 years in UAV, UXV, autonomous systems, or aerospace product development
-
Strong analytical capabilities with first-principles problem-solving methodology
-
Understanding of complete engineering lifecycle processes
-
UK work eligibility and ability to obtain security clearance
Nice to Have
-
Model-based systems engineering (MBSE, Simulink, UML, SysML)
-
Embedded systems and dynamic system simulation expertise
-
UAV/UXV and sensor experience (IMU, GPS, LIDAR, RADAR, cameras)
-
Defence/aerospace or startup environment background
