What the job involves
- Use your advanced knowledge of analog design to architect and define next-generation System on Chip analog architectures, starting with the definition of requirements from application assumptions, stakeholder requirements and system architecture proposals
- Drive the development and execution of relevant research to evaluate impacts on cost, performance, power and software usability
- Collaborate with IP providers to successfully implement third-party IP and support any development custom silicon designs from micro-architecture to design and design qualification
- Drive circuit design and its flow to GDS, working closely with physical design, DFT, and verification experts, all the way through to post-silicon validation
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams (e.g. software, CPU, verification, R&D, security) to optimise your designs
- Contribute to roadmap planning, design reviews, and silicon bring-up
- Write detailed technical documentation and review technical documentation for peers and other engineers
- Hybrid role, with a mixture of working from SECQAI’s office in London or Bristol, and at home
- You may be asked to travel to meet SECQAI’s customers and partners in person
- Maintain the highest standards of integrity by protecting SECQAI’s operations and that of our clients through confidentiality
Who you are – Required
- B.Eng., M.Eng. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 9+ years of relevant analog design and implementation in advanced technology nodes
- Power user of relevant tools from leading providers (e.g. Cadence or Synopsys) across every stage of the design flow
- Experience leading a team of engineers
- Inquisitive and a self-starter – you love learning, solving problems outside of your comfort zone, starting new things and taking them through to production
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to support a wide range of peers and mentors
- High standards for your own work (both functionality and presentation)
Who you are – Desirable
- Experience working with RISC-V and CHERI ISAs
- Experience collaborating with photonics engineers on integrated photonics design
- Functional safety and security knowledge
- Taken multiple designs from conceptualisation through to tape-out
- Interest in building secure systems and platforms, with knowledge of relevant security standards
