The Role

Join Faculty's Defence team as a Machine Learning Engineer to deploy and build ML software infrastructure for real-world defense applications.

What You'll Do

• Deploy and build ML software infrastructure for real-world applications

• Design scalable, reusable solutions accelerating ML system delivery

• Collaborate across engineering, data science, and commercial teams

• Lead technical architecture decisions and feasibility assessments

• Establish Faculty's standards for deploying machine learning at scale

• Serve as technical advisor translating complex ML concepts for stakeholders

• Travel up to three days weekly to client sites throughout UK

Requirements

• Required: Full machine learning lifecycle understanding with experience operationalizing models

• Strong Python proficiency and software engineering best practices

• Cloud platform expertise (AWS, Azure, GCP) including architecture/security

• Docker and Kubernetes containerization experience

• Core ML competency: probability, statistics, learning techniques

• Excellent communication for technical and non-technical audiences

• Thrives in fast-paced environments with ownership autonomy

• UK Security Clearance eligibility (5 years continuous UK residency)
