Senior CAD Engineer

As a Senior CAD Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between conceptual design and physical production by applying your deep knowledge of advanced materials, multi-axis CNC machining, and industrial 3D printing, mold design for injection molding, design for injection molding.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Develop complex 3D solid and surface models, as well as precise 2D production drawings, using SolidWorks

• Optimize designs for manufacturability (DFM), specifically tailoring parts for both subtractive processes (3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining) and additive manufacturing (industrial 3D printing)

• Select and specify appropriate high-performance materials based on mechanical requirements, thermal resistance, and weight limits (e.g., high-strength aluminum and composites)

• Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and apply advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T - ASME Y14.5) to ensure accurate manufacturing

• Manage complex assemblies and maintain strict version control using SolidWorks PDM

• Collaborate closely with manufacturing engineers and machinists to troubleshoot production constraints and iterate on designs
