The Black Swan can carry 350 kg of cargo over 2,500 km, operates from unpaved runways as short as 400 metres, and can be flown remotely or fully autonomously. Dronamics is the first drone cargo airline to receive an EU Light UAS Operator Certificate (LUC) and holds the IATA and ICAO international aviation codes — the first drone operator globally to do so.

In February 2026, Dronamics launched the Black Swan Detect and Defend, a dedicated defence and dual-use variant of the platform. The aircraft's 24-hour-plus endurance, 2,500 km range and modular payload bay make it suited for persistent surveillance, airborne early warning and ISTAR missions. A joint solution with German sensor company HENSOLDT integrates the Black Swan with HENSOLDT's PrecISR synthetic aperture radar and MissionGrid mission system for all-domain threat detection.

The company is backed by European institutional investors including the European Innovation Council and Bulgarian venture capital firm Eleven Capital, alongside Speedinvest.
