Defence Tech Companies in Estonia

Estonian defence firms posted $842 million in combined revenue in 2025, a 347 per cent rise since 2021, driven by international demand for unmanned systems and a sharp pivot in the startup ecosystem from fintech toward defence. Milrem Robotics, which secured an order for over 150 THeMIS unmanned ground vehicles for Ukraine in 2024, leads the sector by turnover and headcount, while Frankenburg Technologies raised close to $50 million at a $400 million valuation to produce air defence missiles at a fraction of incumbent costs. Estonia's defence budget is set to reach 5 per cent of GDP in 2026, putting it among the highest spenders in NATO relative to economic size.
