At the heart of OroraTech's approach is a proprietary constellation of thermal infrared satellites in low Earth orbit, processing fire-detection data on-orbit before downlinking alerts. By integrating feeds from 35+ satellite sources and applying over 100 proprietary algorithms, the platform delivers wildfire detection updates multiple times per hour with a 30-minute revisit time across its 500 million hectare monitoring footprint.

The Wildfire Solution platform serves over 800 users across 25 countries, covering early fire detection, spread prediction and post-fire burnt area mapping. Customers include forestry companies, national fire agencies, parks services and international conservation bodies. OroraTech is expanding its satellite network and deepening its presence in North America and Asia Pacific following its Series B funding round.

The company raised a €25 million Series B in October 2024, led by Korys, the European Circular Bioeconomy Fund and Bayern Kapital. That round was extended to €37 million in May 2025 with additional investment from BNP Paribas Solar Impulse Venture Fund and Rabo Ventures.
