Products & Solutions

QDm.1
A quantum diamond microscope for semiconductor failure analysis. It uses NV-centre sensors in synthetic diamond to map electrical current inside chip packages without destructive preparation, detecting shorts, leakages and open circuits with lateral resolution down to 1 micrometre and a field of view up to 3x3 mm, stitchable to 5x5 cm. Results are delivered in 5 to 10 minutes. The system ships with QD Scope, native software designed for failure analysis engineers that adds machine learning-enhanced visualisation. Compatible with SoC, wafer-level packaging, interposers, hybrid bonding, power electronics (SiC, GaN) and memory (HBM, MRAM).

About

QuantumDiamonds is a Munich-based quantum sensing company, spun out of the Technical University of Munich in 2022, that builds semiconductor inspection systems using synthetic diamond sensors. Its co-founders, CEO Kevin Berghoff and CTO Dr. Fleming Bruckmaier, met during their PhDs at TUM and set out to commercialise diamond-based quantum sensing for the chip industry.
