Senior Robotics Software Engineer (Autonomous Robotics)

Rollo Robotics is developing next-generation autonomous robots for continuous 24/7 outdoor operation. Its 1ROLLO platform combines patented stabilization technology, artificial intelligence and autonomous navigation. The company is moving beyond prototype stage and building a scalable product for global deployment.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop autonomous software systems and control architecture for 1ROLLO

  • Design, build and improve navigation and path-planning systems

  • Work on sensor processing pipelines including cameras, IMU, GPS/RTK and other sensors

  • Build object detection, AI-driven analytics and autonomous decision-making logic

  • Develop obstacle avoidance systems and safety mechanisms

  • Develop real-time software for NVIDIA Jetson platforms

  • Optimize AI models for edge deployment

  • Build simulation environments and testing frameworks

  • Integrate software with electronics and mechanical systems

  • Test algorithms on real robots in outdoor environments

What they're looking for

  • Advanced C++ skills

  • Experience with robotics or autonomous systems development

  • Computer vision, AI or machine learning experience

  • Sensor fusion experience across IMU, VIO, GPS, stereo vision or similar systems

  • Linux and embedded systems experience

  • Real-time systems knowledge

  • NVIDIA Jetson platform experience

  • Ability to design software architecture from scratch

Bonus experience includes autonomous vehicles, drones or mobile robotics, SLAM/localization, motion planning, reinforcement learning and simulation environments such as Gazebo or Isaac Sim.
