The company designs, builds and operates its satellites in-house, from platforms and onboard computers to full constellations. Its HAWK platform underpins the Earth observation constellation it is building for IRIDE, Italy's PNRR-funded Earth observation programme coordinated with the European Space Agency. Argotec also built LICIACube, the microsatellite that flew alongside NASA's DART spacecraft and photographed the first planetary defence mission in history, and ArgoMoon, the only European CubeSat that flew on NASA's Artemis 1 mission.

All manufacturing happens at Argotec SpacePark, an 11,000-square-metre former Oscar Niemeyer-designed building in Turin that the company converted into a satellite factory capable of producing more than 50 satellites a year, close to one a week. Argotec also runs a human spaceflight division that built ISSpresso, the first coffee machine to fly to the International Space Station, developed with Lavazza and used by astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti.

Argotec reported revenue of 35.4 million euros in 2024, up more than 50 percent year on year, and said it invested 11 million euros back into R&D and its Italian production line that year. Alongside its Turin headquarters, the company has offices in Cologne, Germany, at the European Astronaut Centre, and in Melbourne, Florida.
