Products & Solutions

Drone-Based UXO Survey
Autonomous drone survey service using geomagnetic sensors to detect buried unexploded ordnance and metallic hazards across construction, infrastructure and brownfield sites. The system operates terrain-independently, covers ground up to 10 times faster than manual methods, and returns centimetre-accurate GPS coordinates for every find. No aerial imagery or video is captured, keeping the survey focused on subsurface hazard data.
Minesweeper (Military Mine Detection)
Adaptation of ASDRO's core detection software for military mine reconnaissance, developed jointly with the Bundeswehr Cyber Innovation Hub. UAVs equipped with magnetometer sensors survey potential minefields, with AI-based analysis generating automated threat assessments and minefield visualisations. The system is designed to integrate with the Bundeswehr Battle Management System to share mine corridor data across units in the field.
Ground-Based UXO Survey
Conventional manual surveying service for sites where drone operations are constrained. ASDRO deploys the same geophysical expertise and data processing pipeline as its drone service, offering clients a single certified provider for both methods.
Clearance and Disposal
Full ordnance removal service following detection surveys. ASDRO handles the complete process from initial surveying through to safe clearance, providing clients with an end-to-end service under a single certified contractor.

About

ASDRO GmbH is a certified specialist firm for drone-based unexploded ordnance detection, founded in 2019 as a spin-off from the Institute of Geophysics at the University of Münster. The two founders, Julian Beautemps (CEO) and Alexander Weyer (CTO/COO), met as geophysics students at Münster and developed the core detection method as a research project supported by the EXIST start-up scholarship before establishing the company in Essen.
